When our founder and his wife Becky built their first home, 18 years ago, they had many sleepless nights trying to make design decisions using only small samples to imagine how finishes would look in their new home. It was hard to believe that Becky could visualize different hairstyles online, but there was no easy way to visualize how different countertop styles would look with new paint colors and flooring in a kitchen.

Fast forward 4 years to when they were looking for a bigger home in the country.  He wanted acreage, and Becky wanted to live 5 minutes from a Target store (she didn’t want to live too far out in the country).  After 2 years their Realtor found the only property that met both their requirements.  However, it didn’t show well, and Becky didn’t like it at all!  Knowing it could be another 2 years until their Realtor found another property, He created the first online Design Board, allowing Becky to see what their new home would look like with her choice of flooring, paint color, and other features.  She fell in love with the house!  To this day, she still uses her online Design Board (which now includes a picture of every room in their home) to continue to determine paint colors, flooring, countertops, etc.  to make that house her home as her tastes change, and the trends evolve.

That’s when the Company was founded in March of 2008 – to give homeowners the opportunity to fall in love with their home, sometimes for the second, third or fourth time.
